Why (How) is my sleep better ?

Great Sleep vs Good Sleep – where are the dots to join ?

How and why is Kaiben improving my sleep ?

This is the sequence of dots to join –

  1. There is a difference between good sleep & great sleep – you need to get the latter to ‘feel’ the difference.
  2. Great sleep cleans the brain – like a computer reset – and that’s what makes the wake cycle more productive, efficient and impactful. Remember memory is also at play here – which is really nothing but signals and formation of new neural connections.
  3. Great sleep means brain has to reach Delta waves (~3Hz) in at least 3-5 REM cycles (like a few scrubs to remove gunk from a pan) – which is only done by the brain itself. There is simply no other way – you need the cloud authentication code – made from sleep spindles and K complexes. This is all tied to nutrition levels in the blood as well as the CSF – cerebro spinal fluid.

“… good sleep vs. great sleep… “

The pharma story of magnesium comes from here – and so does Melatonin and Seratonin and all other fallacy products for the brain. All they can do is ‘inhibit’ something – which is how they hope to change the brain’s functioning.

If you have flown a kite – you’ll know that’s a terrible idea to cut pieces of a broken kite – so as to try to make it fly.

Good kites are great designs. And each night of GRRRREAT sleep – our internal kite resets – and becomes the brand new amazing bundle of awesomeness that it is – a human body.

A pharmacology configuration will try to trick the blood from sending over these synthetic compounds across the blood brain barrier (BBB).

The BBB is where the CSF and the Blood meet – so they can exchange stuff. Blood brings over nutrition and needed elements and CSF hands over the sewage. This is happening across the day – but its at Delta Wave stage where the power of fluid dynamics is at play.

Imagine you throwing a bucket of water all over the garage floor.

The water runs to the end of the floor – hits the wall – and jumps up along the wall’s surface. Spiders, ants, or anything a few centimeters above the ground – will get hit. And so will all the gunk and grime that collects in the seams of the tiles. And because the garage floor is tilted – the water will flow back with this stuff – straight into the gutter – and out.

The CSF – a fluid – is the water in the bucket example above. Usually it cannot move much – there’s very little spacing between the fat folds of the brain.

But at Delta Waves stage – the fat cells – they shrink ever so sligthly.

And this creates a pressure differential – timed to our pulse rate – which is creating the blood pressure – the CSF comes gushing to occupy these tiny spaces – and it physically collides with proteins like beta-Amyloids and Tao proteins – shaking them off – and carrying them back out to be handed over to the blood – in the sewage exchange.

The 2 liquids – the blood and the CSF do a little dance of their own.

There’s rhythm at play here at this 3hz operational frequency of the brain. This Rhythm – is directly impacted by the light that hits our retina during our wake cycle.

Which was just a few hours earlier – when we were awake.

This ‘Rhythm’ of events in the brain – is called the Circadian Rhythm.

The sewage cleaning with the csf gargling that the brain does – its quite a cartoony thing – I’m not the one who came up with it – Dr. Maiken Nedergaard did. She demonstrated her theory with rats in delta sleep.

The REM stage – where the eyes are bouncing around and the brain is playing a spectacular audio visual experience to us – complete with stereo sound.

We call this movie experience – a dream.

” We humans are the only animal that doesn’t just dream – wakes up – and goes to work to make the dream a reality. “

  1. For a brain to execute REM cycles with precision – signalling comes into play. Neural signalling is dependent on neural infrastructure – the physical wires which carry the current signal. These wires are made of a fat sheath which coils around itself – to make the cylinder with a core – through which the current can flow. This sheath is called Myelin – is made from omegas fats.

Myelin is broken daily – and repairs daily. Omega deficit means some damage level isn’t repairing – meaning you are losing your signaling infrastructure as you progress through daily circadian rhythms.

These fatty acids (omegas) are part of the organic matter which a plant is made of. When we humans consume this organic matter – our digestive system somehow extracts exactly those versions of these fatty acid group of compounds. It’s like the digestive system knows exactly which jigsaw piece to pull out from the bag !

The ratio of absorbtion is completely governed by our glimphatic system – not the lymphatic system. Meaning the brain is always watching this digestive system. And yet food is our first priority (above sex) – and most of the digestion is part of our autonomous brain operations called the parasympathetic systems.

What science does know is that omegas dont arrive into our system from animals – they are only carrying them.

The plants – they are the ones who provide the raw material for our central nervous system’s maintennance.

These Omegas – our body cannot manufacture them. So this puts a lot of pressure on the digestive system to extract them as soon as possible from as many sources as possible.

  1. Diet means nutrients which are absorbed – not the calories or food groups that we put into the mouth. And the system that is responsible for extraction of nutrition – is called Digestion – which is a neural function. This is the famous yin-yan – we are what we eat.
  2. Kaiben’s omega ratio – is golden.

Any psychotropic exposure will reduce the efficacy of the digestive system – and thus impact the entire sequence of events. (which is why you have poor bowels after a late night drinking session)

If you doubt the impact of diet on sleep – I will ask you to eat one portion of any ’10 min delivery’ food product like Pizza or Biryani – for dinner today. I am sorry in advance.

Sleep is directly impacted by diet – most of already know this.

But diet is not what we eat – but what our digestive system extracts – this is less thought of.

This digestive system’s performance is where the magic sits. Anything less than Formula 1 level of engineering – will bring good sleep at best.

The great sleep – makes great things happen. Kekule will agree, so will Mendeleev – and even Ramanujan has written about goddess Namagiri who came in his dreams to help him solve math equations.

Musicians, Artists, Athletes, Entrepreneurs, Businessmen and countless other not so obvious professions display the human ingenutity time and again – without fail. Our species is truly extraordinary. And its that 1700 gms of jello between our ears – which makes this happen.

We are humans. We are eternal.

If you doubt (again) what I mean – please go stand in front of an invention/discovery of patentless product – the mirror. Stare at yourself for a few minutes – and observe the dialog that starts to happen. This is called ‘bhasa’ in southeast asia. And this is what language really means – what we use to speak to our brain.

Science has a term for this called Interoception.
